The acrylic bonding or tooth colored fillings are for children and adults. The bonding is used for fillings in the posterior teeth. The great thing about using acrylic bonding is it strengthens the teeth and it gives a natural look and feeling. It’s also less invasive and has no mercury which is safer for children. Acrylic fillings are a bit more costly but the advantages are well worth it.

Procedure
Acrylic fillings can be done in just one office visit. The dentist has to remove any decay prior to filling the tooth with the acrylic bond. The dentist then applies a bonding agent and places the  composite inside the tooth. Once dried, the resin is polished giving the tooth a a natural look.
